 Researchers have found brooken pots in Analepsis hill under Analepsis Church ( Yüksek Church ) that from calcolitik times. So we had born in calcolitik times. But the first definite documents coming with christianism over the cappadocia. Productive solid of county took people for agriculture. In all history people worked on agriculture in these area. Because The Melendiz river bring productive solid to Cappadocia fields.
But after Christianism county had another importance speciality for anatolia and for all christianism  faith. In 385 Theodosis the king of Byzantine built a church for St. gregory in Guzelyurt. St Gregory as known founder of orthadox faith, founded his new faith in this county. So christian people surged into Guzelyurt. On those times this county known as Korbolo - Karballa. After that surge fields of county couldnt feed both new and old habitants. So they needed new places to earn, scattered to all Anatolia, Istanbul, Kayseri and other sides of Ottomans. But Karballa didnt lost its importance for them. They earned in other places and came back for worship. Country governers allways visited county for their religional leaders and believes.
 The main occupation of the men in Gelveri was mason (a person who builds using stone, or works with stone). This occupation developed in order to satisfy the needs of the village because the surface of the ground was of soft rock material.They built churches, houses by stones everywhere. Evenmore they  carved underground shelters.Because after Byzantine age county stayed in the middle of islamic culture. First Mongols then Persians , Arabics wanted to go Istanbul ( Constantinopolis ) over these region. So people needed strong shelters. But these shelters built by the soft rock materials turned into the underground cities in time. They carved churches, houses, streets, tunnels and all necessities for a city. And they started to live in caves. In Ottomans age people of county felt better then before. Because ottomans allowed them to live in not only social but also religious freedom both socially. Even minting money that used St. Gregorius portraits on it.
After first world war Greece and Turkey signed an agreement on mutual people change in 1924. In 2-3 days they went to their  new and strange hometown. And new hometowners of Guzelyurt came from Greece. After that exchange Turkish Cultural Goverment declared these county as touristic area. People who went Greece are living in a new Karvali now. Before 1924 county known as Karvali. So they built a new Karvali near Kavala. "Nea Karvali". They are still speaking Turkish between themselves. And they are still organising Cappadocia festival every year.
After 1924 is not very diffirent before. Only people changed. The historical situation is the same as before 1924.
